Let’s just cut right to the chase, if you’re wondering, “can you make money on Pinterest” and “how do you make money on Pinterest?”, this is the blog post for you!
I’m going to explain exactly how service providers and ecommerce businesses make money using Pinterest.
YES! It’s definitely possible to make money through Pinterest and here’s some proof.

BUT one thing, I want to mention is you can’t make money FROM Pinterest. Let me explain.
Pinterest directs your content to your ideal audience and brings you website traffic but your website needs to do the converting.
Pinterest does NOT pay you directly for just pinning content.
If that was the case, everyone would be doing it.
However, Pinterest used to have a Pinterest Creator Fund back in 2021 but it quickly ended a year later.
So in this post, I’m sharing how to actually make money by using Pinterest to market your services for each type of business owner.
This includes brand & web designers, copywriters, podcast managers, social media agencies, etc.
When it comes to OSP’s, I’ve seen the best results when they have
This is because users on Pinterest are looking for a solution to their problems. Normally they are searching on Pinterest for information. For example, when they first come across your Pinterest content they are considered to be “cold leads”, meaning they don’t know who you are, if you’re trust-worthy, or if you even offer what they need. Because of this, there is a high chance they won’t be ready to invest in your 3-4 figure offer (where your website does the converting!).
By having those 3 things, they will enter your sales funnel and it’s your job to turn them into paying customers.
Pinterest is the first step into gaining visibility for your business (the top of your funnel) but it’s one of my favorite ways to reach a broader audience versus many other platforms.

Bloggers normally make money on Pinterest from a few different ways including:
Seasoned bloggers are normally in ad networks, which then place ads on their website that allows the, to make money from their website traffic.
With affiliate marketing, if someone shops a product that the blogger added on their blog post, they will make a commission from that.
As you can see, Pinterest becomes a critical part of your marketing strategy when you’re creating pins that link directly to the blog you’re wanting to promote.
Whether you’re a digital product shop or physical product shop, Pinterest now includes more features that are designed for shopping. Not to mention,Pinterest users are considered to be “high-intent shoppers”, meaning, they are ready to buy. With these new features that support e-commerce businesses, it’s easier for your ideal audience to buy straight from your products within the app.
Depending on your business, you could also still benefit from having long form content and pinning those along with product pins.
Now that you know you can make money using Pinterest as a marketing tool, if you want to stop guessing if you’re doing Pinterest right, I offer a Pinterest Strategy Audit that will give you a tailored pinning strategy and content plan for your specific business.
