If you’re a business owner in your DIY era, ready to market your business on Pinterest on your own — this blog walks through the platforms I personally use every day as a Pinterest Manager, and what I use each one for. So let’s get into it!
Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you make a purchase through them, at no extra cost to you. I only recommend tools I personally use and love in my own business.
My favorite platform to create pin graphics for my clients. I have the PRO subscription because I like to add my client’s brand guidelines for easy access, but the Free version works just as well.
I mainly use PinInspector for Pinterest keyword research. It’s super easy to use and way faster to do keyword research versus on Pinterest. It has a lot of other features you can play around with, like competitor research and trends research, but I just use it for keyword research.
And it’s only a one-time fee of $47 with my affiliate link! No monthly payment subscriptions! Truly the best $47 I’ve ever spent for my business.
I love to use the platform itself. I typically use the Pinterest Trends tool to do research on upcoming trends, and it helps me strategize what I want to pin next for my clients. This tool can also help you brainstorm blog ideas for your specific business, show you which keywords perform best on Pinterest, what time of year they perform best, and more.
You have to have a Pinterest Business account to access Pinterest Trends!
I see a lot of posts on Threads asking what the best platform is to schedule pins for Pinterest, and in my opinion, it’s going to come down to personal preference. The most popular ones are Tailwind, Metricool, and Pinterest’s native scheduler. I’ve personally used Tailwind since I first started my Pinterest Management business, and I love it — I probably will not be switching. (I’m a creature of habit!)
If you’re wondering, “Do any of them affect pin performance?” — the answer is no! They are all authorized and approved tools by Pinterest.
I would recommend Tailwind if you’re truly planning on staying consistent with Pinterest and want to schedule a lot more pins, more quickly. The Pinterest Native Scheduler is great if you want a completely free option, but it will take way more time to schedule pins.
Tailwind has a free subscription but has limitations. Sign up for the free subscription here to test it out before committing to a paid plan.
Need aesthetic stock photos for your pin graphics? Dupe Photos is my absolute favorite website for stock images that’s completely free and don’t look super professional and staged.
That’s my go-to Pinterest toolkit! If this was helpful, save this post for later or share it with a fellow business owner who’s ready to market their business on Pinterest.
